Wanda Diamond League Xiamen will be staged 2nd of September 2023. Disciplines released for the first edition of the Meeting.

Picture from Egret Stadium. The 2023 edition of the Wanda Diamond League will be made up by 13 qualification meetings from May to September. The final will be held in Eugene USA over two days, 16th and 17th of September.

The world’s best athletes will hit the Wanda Diamond League circuit once again in 2023, battling it out across 14 meetings and 32 disciplines for the prestigious Diamond Trophy. The inagural Wanda Diamond League event in Xiamen 2nd of September, will be the 11th leg in the Wanda Diamond League season. The meeting will take place at the Xiamen Stadium, a brand new state-of-the-art arena.

There will be 13 programmes in Wanda Diamond League Xiamen including Mens: 100m, 400m, 800m, 3000m Steeple, 110m Hurdles, Triple Jump. Womens: 400m, 1500m, 5000m, 400m Hurdles, High Jump, Long Jump, Discus. It is hoped that Chinese athletic celebrities will compete with athletes from all over the world, including Olympic champions, world champions and world record holders. They are expected to take the stage and entertain fans in the stadium and those watching from all over the world.

At the end of the regular season, the athletes with the most points in each discipline will qualify for the final, which is being held on US soil for the first time in Diamond League history in 2023. The season finale at Eugene’s Prefontaine Classic will be the only meeting to stage every single Diamond discipline, with all 32 Wanda Diamond League champions to be crowned over the course of two days.
